SVITLO Mentorship

"Svitlo" is the Ukrainian word for "light," and within our mentorship program, it embodies the essence of illumination, hope, and guidance. The "Svitlo Mentorship Program" is a beacon of support and guidance, fostering connections between Ukrainian refugees and students in Germany. Our volunteer-driven initiative offers weekly group sessions, conducted online, where participants delve into diverse topics, practice German language skills, and draw inspiration for personal growth. At the heart of our program is mentorship, where experienced young individuals provide invaluable support to young Ukrainians, who are navigating life in Germany. We offer guidance on educational opportunities and pathways to success. Through one-on-one weekly consultations, we help set achievable goals, provide insights into the educational system in Germany and Austria, and offer assistance in preparing for University entrance exams. Additionally, we bridge the gap between Ukrainian youth and German students, fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. Our programs focus on academic support, career guidance, and personal development. We provide individualized assistance with school subjects, bureaucratic challenges, and offer language practice to enhance proficiency in German.
