The Faculty of Forestry of the University of Agriculture in Krakow is a very dynamic and modern scientific and didactic unit. It is involved in a number of research projects and offers innovative educational programmes, providing not only a solid factual basis for modern sustainable forest management but also a diverse view of the role of forest ecosystems in the surrounding world. This is of particular importance in view of the necessity of sustainability and the multifunctional role of forests, the observed climate changes, emerging new abiotic and biotic threats, as well as the changing demand for forests to play a role in meeting various societal needs. Our Faculty provides not only proven and practical knowledge in the field of nature and technology but also teaches modern techniques in geomatics and remote forest information acquisition, as well as IT solutions. This allows our graduates to find ample employment opportunities in the public and private sectors and to pursue their research interests. Faculty of Forestry at the University of Agriculture in Krakow leads numerous forest research programmes and provides education in forest management and forestry sciences at bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, as well as postgraduate study levels. The Faculty actively participates in international agreements and cooperates with numerous Polish and foreign universities and research institutes.
