The Woman’s Exchange of St. Louis is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1883 by women, for women. We are a story of resilience, emboldening women over centuries, providing stability in a world that guarantees none. Since our founding, we have persevered through wars, depressions, and pandemics to uphold our commitment to female artisans and the greater community, through two main programs: Artisan Relations and the Immigrant Training Program. Every dollar spent at our tearoom and shop enables us to provide a foundation of support for female artisans and program participants, creating an empowering culture for the women of St. Louis. When our community comes together, there is nothing that we cannot achieve. The Woman’s Exchange’s staff is a team of dedicated and passionate individuals who are committed to customized customer experiences - making sure each individual leaves with that perfect artisan item or that delicious and relaxing lunch. Behind the scenes, they work around the clock to ensure that the shop and tearoom run as smoothly as possible, that program participants are supported, and that the overall mission of the organization is achieved.
