We develop, manufacture and sell wheelchairs, sports wheelchairs and handbikes across nationally and internationally. The Wolturnus design team consists of specialists from the cycling industry and experienced professional wheelchair users. Therefore, the hallmarks of our product series are intensive development, deep insight into the customers' needs, and vast knowledge about extreme sports. Every single one of our wheelchairs and handbikes is hand-made and custom-built in Bislev, Denmark in close cooperation with each unique wheelchair/handbike user. Wolturnus wheelchairs and handbikes are made of the very strongest materials. They are renowned for their durability, stability and for a good and healthful seated position. The geometry of a wheelchair is the key to its handleability. We design a frame that minimises rolling and turning resistance - and maximises stability. We believe that a wheelchair is an extension of the body. It gives the user the greatest possible freedom to take part in life with family and friends. To achieve this freedom, the wheelchair has to fit its user perfectly. No two people are alike. We adapt our wheelchairs to fit each single individual.
