Womn-Kind is a leading youth mental health organisation on a mission to close the gap in effective wellbeing support and education for adolescent girls and gender-diverse young people. Womn-Kind continues to evolve it's services and products in response to the ever-evolving needs and challenges of Australia's youth.
The innovative, low-intensity and strengths-based approach being taken at Womn-Kind is led by the lived experiences of young people and backed by research and a network of allied health professionals. Womn-Kind mentors - who are qualified in Mental Health First Aid - deliver reputable, engaging and largely preventative wellbeing services and resources in a relatable, safe and age appropriate way.
In 2022 Womn-Kind launched the Womn-Kind App, which is a first-of-its-kind social wellness app, which ensures that every young person - regardless of their geographic location - has the opportunity to access on-demand mental health support at the right time, all the right time. The app is a lifeline for girls and gender-diverse young people through the way it encourages them to engage in mental health promoting conversations and activities, both with the presence and absence of mental illness.
Womn-Kind also connects with young people through their Instagram (@womnkind), podcast (Dear Sister: A Womn-Kind Podcast), school wellbeing workshops, boarding school wellbeing programs, events and partnerships. Womn-Kind also sells merchandise where 100% of the profits fund initiatives that support adolescents.
