WomX Woman in Business is a platform built to empower women in business with the tools, resources, and community needed to thrive personally and professionally.
WomX was launched on International Women's Day in March 2023, and has since hosted several national WomX Connect events, growing to a network of over 2,000 women in business. The WomX Accelerator supported 150 women in its first year, with 80 graduates. The 2025 programme launched in November 2024, with 50 businesses selected from 420 applications across 8 provinces and over 20 sectors.
All applicants receive tailored mentoring and customised development, informed by a comprehensive 120-point business diagnostic conducted on each business. They also gain access to the WomX Entrepreneurship Academy, offering free entrepreneurial education, along with national networking, masterclasses, business coaching, and market opportunities through the online WomX Directory and direct linkages with possible opportunities.
The annual WomX Woman in Business Conference will take place in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, in August 2025, bringing together women entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and ecosystem builders from across the country.
