Founder and designer, Michela Hayes-Griffin, had a clear vision from the outset; To create practical solutions which addressed the Dachshund specific behaviour. Putting safety, comfort and durability first to truly embody functionality within her performance harness and ‘2 in 1’ harness-coat designs. "A well fitting harness is perhaps the most important purchase you can make for your dog... Not all dog harnesses are created equal" explains Michela. "Fit and comfort are critical, we have spent over 4 years developing our breed specific patterns. In addition to our core collection, we also specialise in bespoke commissions and unique one off pieces for special occasions. It a very exciting time for Wondercoat” Sourcing small batch, premium grade, performance fabrics, using end of line materials wherever possible and hand making in small batches, the company is working hard towards minimising the environmental impact of their garments. Fast fashion in the pet industry is a huge issue and Wondercoat are hoping that by educating and engaging with their customers, the company can take small steps in contributing to a solution.
