UTG Wood Mill Ltd. (referred to as “Wood Mill”) is a new Ugandan integrated forest processing company set up by commercial tree growers to access high-value timber markets through establishing a value addition mill. With over 250,000 hectares of commercial forestry plantations owned by small-to-medium sized growers across Uganda and global demand for wood products growing at almost 7% per year, Wood Mill has significant opportunities for growth and is poised to demonstrate a sustainable model for commercial forestry and tree growing at scale.
