Bio based insulation such as Sheep's Wool is also the preferred choice for the heritage & listed buildings sector due to the hygroscopic properties of the material. Wool is naturally fire resistant up to temperatures of 1,040°F (560°C) and is a keratin based protein which means it does not support the growth of mould or mildew making it an excellent choice as home insulation.
