Work Matters is a local research project aimed at identifying human resources and recruitment best practices for Lanark and Renfrew Counties. Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, this project focuses on three essential industries (Health Care, Transportation and Manufacturing) Each industry is currently experiencing workforce and skills shortages that are impacting sustainability and growth.
As a project, we work with employers to develop solutions in recruitment and Human Resources (HR) capacity, to modernize and meet workforce challenges.
By bringing employers, municipalities, employment services, economic development, social services, immigration partners, high schools and post secondary institutions together, we can help to drive economic growth and build workforce solutions in Lanark and Renfrew Counties.
