Work in Sport is a youth-focused education, coaching, and events platform built to inspire the next generation of sport industry professionals. We run dynamic in-school workshops, live student events, and a dedicated career coaching programme - all designed to open students’ eyes to the many roles in sport beyond just playing. Whether it’s coaching, media, business, science, tech or performance analysis, our mission is to help young people turn their passion for sport into real, meaningful careers. 🎯 What We Do Run practical, engaging workshops in schools. Organise student-only sport career days packed with insight, speakers, and real-world opportunities Deliver a 12-month Career Coaching Programme with tailored support: CV help, interview prep, mentoring, and personal branding Build digital content and community through Instagram, YouTube and regular career insights Support students even after they land roles – helping them succeed and grow in the workplace 🚀 Who’s Behind It Work in Sport was co-founded by James Hitchman (FutureStep Programme) and James Cox (Work in Football). Together, they bring years of experience in recruitment, sport careers, and student development – backed by a growing international network of clubs, federations, schools, and industry leaders. 🤝 Our Network Work in Football – our sister brand, followed by over 25,000 people, focused on careers in football FutureStep Programme – a youth development programme using sport to build life skills and confidence.
