World Blockchain Organization (WBO) is the biggest blockchain NGO with Special Consultative Status of United Nations ECOSOC. WBO is dedicated to the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible blockchain technology. WBO’s mission is to guide and promote the comprehensive adoption of blockchain technology across industries. As the leading international advocacy organization of the blockchain industry, WBO promotes blockchain technology as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability, and offers leadership and supports to other sectors in advancing knowledge and establishing blockchain standards worldwide. We do this by engaging with policymakers, regulators, technology innovators and market participants through direct communication, comment letters, studies and more to guide the public dialogue about blockchain, digital currencies and smart contract technology, so that the industries can realize the full potential of these capabilities. We seek to do this in a way that is effective, complies with all regulatory safeguards and ultimately paves the way for more efficient and profitable markets. WBO’s membership includes Corporate Membership, Alliance Membership and Observer Membership representing the major blockchain players, key blockchain organizations and regional blockchain authorities around the world.
