About World Food Systems Network
Our mission is to activate a global transformation towards sustainable food systems through education, collaboration, and innovation. We serve farmers, communities, and researchers worldwide. We facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices, aiming to empower every individual and community with the tools they need for sustainable living. Our approach is hands-on, community-focused, and rooted in the principles of sustainability and equity, ensuring that our actions today contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world for future generations. This is a network of purpose-driven people actively involved in the food system. We enable the creation of synergies between its members through connection, collaboration and knowledge exchange in an inter-disciplinary manner. It empowers individuals to collaborate and contribute towards a sustainable food system transition. We support our members personally and professionally, promote activities, and joint projects, and learn and exchange knowledge about worldwide agroecological food systems. Objectives - Expand Global Reach by increasing the number of global WFSN members to enhance worldwide accessibility by December 31, 2026. - Agroecology Training Programs: Launch/collaborate with 2 existing agroecology training programs in key regions to promote sustainable farming practices by March 2025. To repeat every 1.5y. - Host quarterly online round-table discussions on sustainable farming practices with a host country (community), engaging local and international experts, to foster innovation and collaboration in agroecology by Q3 2024. Knowledge exchange experiences (field research) - Launch Collaborative Projects: Initiate 1 new cross-border field research project focusing on innovative sustainability practices by December 2026.
