World2one, Inc. was started in 1999 to solve the problem for individuals and companies of constantly changing contact information. The company developed proprietary technology to create an auto-updating "business card" for an individual with every contact that the individual shared such "business card."
The company raised capital from "angel investors" from 1999 to 2001. Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the company laid off all staff and ceased regular day to day operations. Over the next decade attempts were made by three individuals, Jeff Feldhahn, Roy Leffew and Blaine Anaya (each with various technological and business skill sets) to revive and adapt the company's technology to a changing market.
In spite of such efforts, the company failed to succeed in the market. Finally in 2013, those three individuals decided that the market had moved on from the core software product and its value proposition, and it was time to end their efforts to revive the company's prospects.
Nevertheless, a stake was not driven through the company's heart, and it has continued to exist as a existing corporation. Hope springs eternal and who knows, miracles sometime happen. The company remains privately held.
