The WLA is the world association of professional football leagues. Its purpose is to help improve governance structures within world football, represent the professional football leagues and their member clubs to sport and political institutions, and foster cooperation between the leagues. The WLA was founded in 2016 and opened its office in Zurich, Switzerland, on 1 April 2017.
