World of the Abyss (WOTA) is a cross-platform free-to-play hardcore Lineage-like MMORPG game with bulletproof Web3-mechanics, AI-powered user-generated content (UGC) and sustainable economy.
We made WOTA to return the old popular and beloved classics of MMORPGs (like Lineage Interlude, WoW, Ultima Online etc.) to players on mobile and other platforms for fun and leisure. We also added Web3-mechanics: play2own & p2p marketplace for earning, ClanDAO for a true democracy and NFTs for owning and trading in-game assets outside the game. We are also implementing AI-powered NPCs and UGC for more engagement and fun.
At the beginning of the game, events start in a small single tutorial location where a player learns the basic game mechanics. Then he gets to a huge online location where he has an opportunity to interact with other players and can either become allies with them or fight them. From this point on, a player is free in his actions to explore the world, upgrade and improve his game character and outfit, kill monsters, bosses, and other players.
We made it easy to play: simplified crafting and no excessive character management. We eliminated the auto-plays: only players’ skills count! We made real PvP at any time at any location. Up to 15000 players can play at one location at a moment. A huge map that will be extended every season (up to 9 floors of the Abyss in total) to make it a very long-lasting journey. We let players choose which type of clan to join: autocratic or democratic (DAO). We are adding Play&Earn mechanics to let players earn, while having fun playing the game. To benefit from the game monetarily players can develop their items, mint them as NFTs with unique characteristics, and then sell them to other players or speculators to cash out. This is how we let players own their items even outside of the game. We are also implementing AI-powered UGC and NPCs to bring unique experience to everyone.
