WOWPK - Women Of Wonders Pakistan is a community of Pakistani women innovators, change-makers and role models in Pakistan and abroad. It was founded with an aim to highlight and acknowledge the efforts of our wonder women, to share resources to help them grow, to inspire young girls to think out of the box and explore careers that need women workforce and leaders. The existing socio-cultural norms continues to strengthen gender discrimination and are a source of a massive wastage of the human capital available in the Pakistan. Fortunately, the mind-set is now changing and with the wave of inclusion and diversity at the workplaces, companies are making a more concerted effort to hire equal numbers of women and men - particularly in jobs and industries that have been dominated by one gender in the past. We specially encourage women from non traditional careers (such as automotive, aviation, architecture, construction, engineering, energy, investment & banking, technology, R&D) to join us. Nontraditional (NT) careers for women include any job where at least 75 percent of the workforce is men. In Pakistan, unfortunately, any NT field has even less than 10 percent women. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and have launched exclusive training programs for women and for companies providing an effective framework for companies to be a leader in diversity through our customized sessions and top-notch events.
