We are one of the world's leading developers and operators (IRPP) of wind and solar farms. Founded in 1996, our company plans, finances, builds and operates wind farms and solar parks in 33 countries. The IRPP business includes projects in wpd’s own portfolio with a total capacity of almost 3,512 MW. Thanks to our growing expertise, we are also considered a reliable partner for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). With more than 1,300 colleagues worldwide, we are committed to the expansion of wind and solar energy. We are currently planning national and international projects of 31,585 MW wind onshore and 7,360 MWp solar PV. In addition to its home market in Germany, wpd is also active in the main wind and solar markets in Europe, in North and South America, and in various countries in the rapidly growing Asian market. We have played a key role in shaping the wind energy industry since its beginnings. The foundation stone of wpd was laid in Bremen nearly 30 years ago.
