About Writing for Research and Academic Practice (WRAP)
The Writing for Research and Academic Practice (WRAP) network develops, supports and strengthens methods of social writing as effective practice within and beyond academia. Methods of social writing provide a structured approach to writing with others on individual projects to build productivity, creativity, and scholarly community. WRAP has three broad aims: (1) develop and sustain a community of practice that sets quality standards and trains facilitators in social writing interventions; (2) support, collaborate on, and publish research on social writing methods; and (3) strengthen and embed social writing in academic research and practice with an impact on writers’ career progression, self-efficacy, and well-being.
