WriteBetter

WriteBetter is an add-in for Microsoft Word (2013 or 2016) and Chrome extension designed for English learners who expect to improve their writing skills and language knowledge through the exposure to real language in context produced by native speakers of English. WriteBetter is a learning tool for written English that leverages the Data-Driven Learning (DDL) approach. DDL refers to an approach to learning foreign languages in which students discover patterns or rules of language use autonomously by exploring a large number of sentences written by native speakers. WriteBetter offers a function to let students explore what are the most common structures related to the word(s) searched and a dictionary based on synonyms through which students can discover new words.
