These and many other questions are discussed in the book. It examines e-sports as a global event, with a special focus on Germany. This is because this book was written primarily for German-speaking people in order to bring e-sports a little further into the social spotlight. Not only does this new type of sport deserve this, but it will also play a prominent role in the globalized and digitalized world in the future - a development that is not yet fully recognized in Germany. This book aims to change that.
