Women's Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP)

WRRAP, established in 1991, is located in California and funds legal medical and surgical abortions nationwide. Our mission is to assist individuals of all ages, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations who are financially unable to pay for safe, legal abortions or emergency contraceptives. We provide funds directly to pre-screened, pre-qualified health clinics and doctors across the nation on behalf of individuals seeking abortion services or emergency contraceptives. Our affiliate clinics and doctors are members of Planned Parenthood, National Abortion Federation, Abortion Care Network, and/or independent community-based clinics or doctors. WRRAP proudly helped found the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) 30 years ago. Since April 2022, WRRAP has also been working with a group of telemedicine abortion providers in 20 states. Since the FDA approved abortion pills by mail in Dec 2021, medication abortion has become increasingly critical in the delivery of care. It can be completed safely outside of a medical setting and addresses financial and logistical burdens abortion patients face when they have to visit a provider to obtain care, such as arranging for child care, taking time off work and paying for transportation costs. GENERAL FUND – When you donate to our general fund, you support individuals nationwide to access abortion services. KIIRA FUND– When you donate to our dedicated fund, you support individuals to access abortion services from independent community-based clinics, located in the most rural parts of the US. Honoring the legacy of our founding Board member, Kiira Jepson, these clinics are ineligible for other national network funding and yet, they provide care to some of the poorest women in America.
