Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council

The Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council is a non-profit in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada, with a mission of reducing suicide and it’s impact through collaboration, education, training and building a sense of belonging. We envision a compassionate community leadership in suicide prevention, guiding the work of hope, help and healing. While our work is grounded within Waterloo Region, we also contribute to provincial and national suicide prevention initiatives. The WRSPC does work in four key priority areas: 1) Building Sense of Community: We create opportunities for sense of community and connection. 2) Engaging Populations of Priority: We implement targeted initiatives that equip populations of priority with knowledge, tools, and specialized supports. 3) Advancing Organizational Capacity: We achieve a standard of excellence through sustainable, effective, and meaningful work. 4) Growing Provincial and National Reach: We collaborate with and strengthen provincial and national efforts.
