Wall Street Club is India’s first undergraduate investment club by the students, for the students and of the students. We, at Wall Street Club, BITS Pilani, have a vision to learn and master investing and trading by exploring the dynamics, opportunities and risks embodied in the financial market. The club encompasses a myriad of activities from conducting workshops, having live trading sessions, releasing the financial newsletter Bulls and Bears, creating an investment portfolio to aiding in setting up of investment clubs all over the country. Wall Street Club has its own private student investment fund, “Questus” as well as a trading fund called “Flowus”. Questus is where students put in their own pocket money, do their own research, discuss, learn and invest in the domestic equity markets as well as enhance their knowledge in finance. By operating under actual cash funding, the team has been able to closely interact with the market, and at the same time develop responsibility and practicality in their investment strategies. The research team includes sector specific teams with detailed dedicated set procedures for an appropriate blend of technical and fundamental analysis to take the best decision. Flowus, which was started in August 2019, is where students trade on commodities and FX markets. Students are taught basic technical analysis which includes candlestick patterns, chart patterns and indicators. They then devise strategies based on this analysis which are then applied to commodities and FX markets. Wall Street Club is one of the most reputed and exclusive clubs in BITS Pilani having its alumni dominate the fields of trading, investment banking, consulting etc. The Club boasts a wide alumni network spread across companies like J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, IMC Trading, APT Portfolio, McKinsey, BCG, Bain & Co., Kedaara Capital, Advent International, GIC Capital as well as universities like Wharton, Columbia, NYU, UC Berkeley, UCLA Anderson, IIMs and ISB.
