WTE Biogas is the new Middle East extension of 25 years of waste-to-energy building and operational expertise. The company transforms animal waste (notably poultry), MSW and plant refuse into high-quality renewable energy. Our core team has worked together for over 25 years and employs PhDs, market makers, and experts who have consulted to industry leaders in the U.S. and with governments around the world. The U.S. team started working together in the early 2000s forming AgCert. AgCert was the first company in the world to create an UN-certified carbon credit from an animal waste-to-energy operation. The company built 700 biodigestors around the world and went public on the London Stock Exchange, growing to a $400mm market cap. AES Corporation, a global power company, eventually acquired AgCert from the public markets and folded the technology into its operations. Now our team has partnered with Tharwa Ventures (based in Abu Dhabi) to formally expand into the Middle East. This Joint Venture is forming subsidiaries in our partner countries, which then form SPVs for each the various waste-to-energy plants in in countries throughout the region, transferring deep knowledge, intellectual property, and operational expertise to the local plant teams. We empower these teams to solve pressing ecological challenges and increase the renewable energy strength of our country partners.
