Starting from humble beginnings in a builder’s barn office, owner-directors Jo, Andy, and Wayne decided to combine their industry knowledge and experience to establish WTI Fasteners in 1989, an independent British company specialising in the manufacture of helically-coiled wire thread inserts. Now, we are a leading global figure in the wire insert industry, operating out of a dedicated 16,500ft2 facility in the heart of the UK and with an experienced team of specialists in the design, manufacture, and distribution of wire thread inserts and associated tooling to customers in a variety of industries worldwide, including aerospace. We manufacture stainless steel wire inserts in free running and screw locking types, in a huge range of sizes and lengths in Metric, Unified, and British Standard thread forms. Investment in innovative machinery means we can also manufacture inserts in alternative materials such as phosphor bronze and Nitronic 60, and we can also supply inserts in a variety of finishes and platings. We are also a proud distributor of KATO Tangless inserts. BSI approved since 1994, our inserts are manufactured in accordance with national and international industry standards, including BS7751, BS7752, EN 9100:2018, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D, MA and MS spec, and DIN 8140.
