‘WISH' by Wuauu Inc. is a unique service (US Patent Application #12406822) designed to provide consumers with a price bargaining system via a mobile device that allows retailers to sell their slow inventory quickly. WISH is revolutionary because it allows consumers to make nonbinding offers to any store for any product at any price, leading to a win-win situation for both consumers and retailers. Currently, price-conscious consumers may refrain from making purchases because they think prices for certain items are just too high. This forces retailers to cut their prices in an effort to move slow inventory, often at prices below what the consumer would have been willing to pay originally. Using WISH’s mobile application, a consumer can scan a product’s barcode and make an offer to the retailer electronically. WISH’s automated service relays the offer to the retailer. The retailer can then respond to the offer by (1) accepting; (2) rejecting; or (3) countering the offer and specifying how long the consumer has to purchase the item at the discounted price. The consumer also receives a nonbinding acceptance code that they can present to the cashier in order to receive the appropriate discount for each item purchased.
