Wunder-Mold specializes in the Injection Molding of customized components / parts to precise client specifications in Advanced Technical Ceramics, including Alumina, Zirconia, as well as Thermoplastic parts. Notably, Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) is particularly demanding, requiring uncommon knowledge and expertise. Founded in 1996, Wunder-Mold grew to become one of very few firms in the world capable of Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM). The process of Ceramic Injection Molding components / parts (versus grinding and other methods) is a very unique, precise, productive and cost-effective method of producing consistent Ceramic components, especially in large volumes. Even today, Wunder-Mold is one of only a handful of firms capable of this process in the U.S. Advanced Technical Ceramic components offer a high level of toughness, reliability, resistance to extreme temperatures, wear, corrosive conditions, and often lower weight compared to metal which enables their application in endless challenging environments including Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Electronics, Energy, Food Service, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Solar, and many other industries. Wunder-Mold also specializes in a wide variety of Plastic types for Injection Molding, including Polycarbonate (Plain or Glass-Filled), ABC, Polyolefins, Nylons, Rubber, Acrylics and Polyacetal). From prototyping to production, we employ precise Injection Molding and secondary finishing techniques to produce consistent, cost-effective precision finished components / parts that satisfy the most demanding customer requirements.
