Wunderline

The Wunderline will realise a fast, comfortable railway connection that will soon allow you to travel between Groningen and Bremen in just over two hours. The Wunderline is more than a rail project: it blurs the border between northern Germany and the northern Netherlands. The aim is to give a boost to the socio-economic strengthening of the area. Besides investing in rail infrastructure, we also encourage the improvement of door-to-door connections: chain mobility. In addition, cross-border cooperation is strengthened, by removing barriers in labour and education and exploiting opportunities in culture and tourism. The Wunderline is a joint project of the Province of Groningen, Land Lower Saxony and Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
