Westport Volunteer EMS was started in 1979 to train and utilize certified EMTs for emergency medical calls in the community of Westport, Connecticut. Today WVEMS is award winning in pre-hospital emergency medical care and is a leader in training citizens in CPR, first aid, and EMR/EMT certifications. With over 100 volunteers and thousands of generous donors, we are able to supply the community of Westport with state of the art ambulances and medical equipment with minimal tax burden to the residents. Our volunteers are comprised of teenagers, doctors, lawyers, parents, teachers, retirees, and everything else - just like you.
