We want to make real world neighbourhoods accessible online with Onemyle. Local Communities need consistent access to reliable information on civic issues, local events, any unfortunate acts of crime nearby and updates from local businesses. Today this information is fragmented across social media, local editions of mainstream media and WhatsApp groups. Locality experts can come together to curate this information on a daily basis for increased awareness and better community engagement. Onemyle was born out of our experience running JustBooks - a community library chain in different neighbourhoods like Koramangala in Bengaluru, Andheri in Mumbai, Baner in Pune, Panampilly Nagar in Kochi, Salt Lake City in Kolkata, Anna Nagar in Chennai. Everywhere, the stand out problem was the absence of a "Neighbourhood on the Internet" that mimics the real world.
