History – Timeline 1975 Dorset Star Warehouse if founded by John Probert (now Chairman) to provide industrial warehousing and freight forwarding services in Poole, Dorset. 1976 Company moves to a 20,000 ft2 warehouse in Cranbrook Road, Poole, Dorset. 1981 Company secures the ANC Express franchise for Dorset and West Hampshire. 1983 Company name changed to Wyvern Cargo Ltd. 1993 Company acquires a second site in Poole to cater for significant growth in the haulage division. 1999 Midland Distribution Centre established in Rushden, Northamptonshire on a 3.5 acre site. 2001 Company joins the Fortec Pallet distribution network. 2003 Company moves into its new Poole headquarters with a 30,000 ft2 warehouse equipped with high-bay racking. 2006 Launch of Wyvern Easyfast document archiving system. 2007 ANC Express is acquired by FedEx International, the world’s largest express transport company, and rebranded as FedEx UK with Wyvern Cargo as its service partner for Dorset and West Hampshire. 2008 Wyvern Cargo establishes Poole Express Limited, which is focused on expanding parcels business. 2018 Wyvern Cargo establishes a 6,000 pallet space BRC approved warehouse in Bournemouth to store finished goods and raw materials products for the food manufacturing industry.
