X-energy is delivering the next generation of carbon-free energy by reinventing nuclear power. Following our successful development and progress in the US, we are bringing our ground-breaking technology to the UK, targeting our first project for the North East of England. We believe in leaving a cleaner planet for our children and grandchildren, while continuing to provide sufficient and affordable power and delivering economic benefits to the areas housing our technologies. We want to build in Britain and buy British, using UK supply chains, powering our reactors with fuel made in the UK, and creating UK Jobs. X-energy manufactures fuel that seals uranium particles in a protective coating, which makes meltdown impossible and retains the waste inside forever. We design plants that unlock the fuel’s potential in a process that’s as clean as wind or solar. Our process’s unique by-product, high temperature steam, can be leveraged to support local industry. When combined, the result is reliable carbon-free baseload energy, produced safely and affordably, and available anywhere, at any time. Our first proposed site in Hartlepool would build on the region’s nuclear expertise and industrial heritage and infrastructure, making it a perfect fit for clean growth. We’re ready to deliver our first reactors around 2030 and follow them with many more innovative projects around the country.
