About X-Force Philadelphia
X-FORCE- A Technological Breakthrough in Total Conditioning. Science seems to indicate that slowly lowering resistance is the most significant phase of a repetition as far as stimulating muscular and skeletal strength. What is the best way to apply that information to the workout? With a barbell or conventional machine, even when “accentuating the negative” or lowering the resistance, you can only lower what you can lift, which is less than desirable considering that a trainee’s negative strength is 40% greater than his/her “positive” (lifting) strength. X-FORCE involves a “tilting” weight stack which increases resistance by 40% on the negative or lowering phase of the repetition. This increased resistance necessitates a far greater systemic recovery. X-FORCE is a “total conditioning” workout that stimulates maximal strength increases, cardio-respiratory efficiency and flexibility. X-FORCE effectively reduces training time to 30 minutes, once a week. If desired, though not necessary, the X-FORCE protocol will also complement other conditioning protocols the trainee wishes to incorporate into his/her daily activities.
