X4HPC

The X4HPC Network (Xarxa R+D+I per la Supercomputació a Catalunya) is a network coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), that gathers the most representative scientific institutions and research centers in the field of HPC in Catalonia (UB, UAB, IRB, VHIR, CIMNE, IJC, CSIC-CNM). With the aim to promote the technology transfer and valorisation of HPC technologies to industry and society, facilitating progress in different economic and social fields like Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences and Engineering. Through the following activities: · HPC technology portfolio identification · Transfer of technologies to companies and spinoffs · Training on tech transfer and entrepreneurship and acceleration programs · Valorisation and maturity increase of projects trhough market studies and business plans · Creation of new HPC based spinoffs · The standarization of a global protection strategy Its vision is to consolidate the HPC ecosystem in Catalonia, an ecosystem that has been growing exponentially in the last 5 years and will continue to grow.
