Cloud computing play spaces
Both computational capacities and multi-omic data share a common feature: both are expanding at exponential rates. At the same time, each is becoming increasingly dependent on the other. An important goal for computing and drug discovery professionals, then, is to keep abreast of the state-of-the-art in their area of expertise while maintaining a functional knowledge of the other. At XBioIT we approach both these goals by fostering intellectual crossovers from biotech to computing, and from computing to biotech. Our collaboration space includes an AWS high performance computing infrastructure with specialized development environments, publicly available clinical and multi-omic datasets and our own curiosity.
