Water management is the largest cost per barrel of oil produced and is arguably the most significant environmental liability in energy production. XPS is here to tackle these challenges with a growing technology platform that currently consists of four offerings. Each of these technologies is founded on applying chemical modification to unique media substrates. We then apply process and mechanical engineering expertise to integrate these media technologies with externally available technologies to create holistic solutions that meet our customer’s goals. XPS is helping energy companies mitigate risks of environmental contamination via excursion management and heavy metal removal systems, addressing costs of downtime and capacity constraints within existing infrastructure via modified nutshell media, and creating practical and economical system designs to minimize energy consumption and maximize environmental sustainability.
