The XR²ACH project aims to address the skilled worker shortage in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technology industries through an innovative virtual learning environment. By utilizing virtual and augmented reality applications, learning content is delivered in a practical, digital format to simulate complex technical systems realistically. Target audiences, including apprentices, technicians, and engineers, can flexibly access the learning environment via VR/AR headsets, smartphones, and tablets on a web- and cloud-based platform. Emphasis is placed on teaching foundational knowledge through to maintenance work, with learning progress tracked and individually supported. A dedicated contact and transfer center, along with a comprehensive roll-out strategy, will ensure sustainable integration within industry.
