[GR] Η εφημερίδα "Ο Χρόνος" ιδρύθηκε στις 4 Σεπτεμβρίου του 1964 από τον Αλέξανδρο Φανφάνη, και έκτοτε κυκλοφορεί αδιαλείπτως αποτελώντας και την πρώτη καθημερινή εφημερίδα του Ν. Ροδόπης. Ο «Χ» και όσοι εργάζονται σε αυτόν, ζουν, αναπνέουν και πορεύονται στην Κομοτηνή, συνεχίζοντας το ιστορικό της έργο, την αποτύπωση και τον σχολιασμό της καθημερινότητας.
Η εξέλιξη της εφημερίδας έφερε το Ράδιο Χρόνος 87,5 το 1999, ενώ ο «Χ» ήταν η πρώτη επαρχιακή εφημερίδα πανελλαδικά που απέκτησε διαδικτυακό χώρο, το www.xronos.gr. Το Xronos.gr έκτοτε μεγάλωσε, δικτυώθηκε, συνεργάστηκε και έφτασε στην 5η ολική του αναβάθμιση, δηλαδή αυτό που βλέπετε και διαβάζετε σήμερα.
