XTend is a a prosthetics non-profit focused on delivering free prosthetic arms to medically neglected and conflict areas. In a world where 1.8 billion people still live below the poverty line, on less than $2.15 a day, simple mechanical prosthetics can still cost hundreds of dollars, putting them out of reach for millions of families around the world, and the creating needless suffering for most vulnerable in society.
At XTend, we aim to fill this gap with free bionic and mechanical limb replacements, built, remote-fitted and assembled by our team of students here in London. We connect with those in need around the world, supporting our clients through each stage until delivery. We believe taking our clients through our process and constant communication can create effective care without the need for a monetary cost.
Having now successfully completed our first delivery of a full set of prosthetic arms to rural Morocco, proving our concept, follow us as we hope to provide you with more exciting updates soon.
