Xtreme Architecture

Working closely with a local developer from Sint Maarten in the Caribbean we aim to strengthen community resilience by improving building techniques. We are researching and designing affordable housing and day-care centers which are not only hurricane and earthquake resilient, but also boundary pushing in terms of circularity and sustainability. We aim for that the case studies we design, under the guidance of highly qualified architects and engineers, can be of help to not only the people of Sint Maarten, but to everyone dealing with similar misfortune. For us to fully become aware of the consequences of the disasters, possibilities and to perform tests on the islands, we need to go there in person. Only if we are fully aware we can make a real impact and provide durable and sustainable solutions.
