At the Exeter Women in Business Society (XWIB), we aim to promote, inform, and support female students in their career aspirations, with focus on excelling in traditionally male-dominated environments. We want to engage both students and employers in the discussion about women in the workplace, the glass ceiling and the drivers behind a successful career. XWIB’s aim is to cultivate confident and independent young female leaders who can utilise our society as a platform for career success and collaborate with other enterprising, like-minded individuals.
As we enter into our 7th year as the top professional society at Exeter University, we hold the most Sponsors of any Society on campus and growing. We have plans to expand and improve the successful events of last year, as well as promoting XWIB’s name on campus through joint socials with other societies, and working closely with the Exeter University CareerZone and departments across multi disciplinaries. This year we hope to introduce virtual insight days to sponsors offices, regular speakers sessions, joint socials and the mentorship scheme program.
