In January 2012, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Green Economy initiative under the slogan: A green economy for sustainable development. Under this initiative, the UAE seeks to become a global hub and a successful model of the new green economy, to enhance the country's competitiveness and sustainability and preserve its environment for future generations. Through this initiative, the UAE aims to become one of the world leaders in this area as well as a center for the export and re-export of green products and technologies, and to maintain a sustainable environment to support long-term economic growth. I believe it is my responsibility to support the Green initiative and to educate individuals and organisations, to eliminate the use of dangerous chemicals from their work place as we all should realize that the use of dangerous toxic chemicals will put us, our children and our planet at risk. The very nature of our business is dedicated to treating the planet right. Connecting sustainability to our daily lives and nurturing it into the core of our culture is an important factor. We know that we cannot achieve better lives in a growing world alone. We would like other companies and people to join us, so we can work together to achieve sustainable goals.
