outh for Sustainable Development Initiative (Y4SD) aims to promote, empower and encourage youth in Jamaica to see themselves as partners in sustainable development and drivers of youth-led socio-economic development. Youth For Sustainable Development (Y4SD) is a movement of youth leaders and young professionals, established in 2015, that takes pride in supporting the sustainable development of Jamaica in keeping with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Vision 2030 National Development agenda. Our vision is, “to promote the core principles of sustainability, nationalism, innovation and stewardship” and our aim is to enhance the growth and development of this country through the various - projects.
As the world looks at cultivating change to facilitate this post 2015 development agenda manifested in the Sustainable Development Goals it is important to underscore the role youth play in achieving these goals. Our mandate as a movement is to take deliberate efforts to achieve sustainable development and take ownership of the SDGs & Vision2030 goals in such a way that tangible results shall be achieved.
