The Skills Development Centre at Yaba College of Technology is an accredited training provider that equips all categories of learners with practical, industry-relevant skills needed to earn a sustainable livelihood and engender innovations for technological development. Our mission is to foster accessible, flexible, and formal certification pathways that lead to the National Skills Qualifications (NSQ), providing a structured progression from informal to formal education. As part of YABATECH’s rich history of integrating ICT into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), we are committed to enhancing the capacity of the informal sector while contributing to the reduction of unemployment and youth restiveness. The Skills Development Centre builds on YABATECH’s legacy of skill-building initiatives dating back to the Flexible Skills Development Centre (FSDC) establishment in 2016. Our focus on skills development ensures that YABATECH remains a leading institution that provides accessible education and industry-aligned training and fosters opportunities for youth and professionals across various sectors.
