Yale Properties Limited was formed in 1953 to develop and own real estate in Montreal, Quebec. Through the guidance of consistent ownership, the company has prospered and grown into a group of related companies with holdings and activities across North America in many industries and sectors. First Real Properties Limited, Second Real Properties Limited and Fourth Real Properties Limited are joint-venture companies owned by Yale Properties Limited and The Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada. Real Properties was formed between 1968-1981 to develop Lloyd D. Jackson Square in Hamilton, Ontario. Since that time, the companies have expanded into Calgary, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario. The Real group now holds a diverse portfolio containing 3.5 million square feet of office, retail and industrial assets, along with significant development lands.
