The group was founded in 1968 at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in the name of Pacific Travels. The company was setup across the road from the Reserve Bank of India where it still stands. From its very inception the business aimed to cater the foreign trade industry of Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur at the time was one of the leading Industrial cities of India. In a very short span of time or founder became a known personality in the foreign trade circles of India for his command & control over foreign exchange regulation. Anyone dealing with the Reserve Bank of India was welcome for Consultation; in the process he served most of the Big Industrial & Foreign Trade Houses of India. The group ventured into the Cargo business in 1981 by opening its first branch office in Bhadohi, the carpet manufacturing heartland of India. Within no time the company almost had a monopoly on all the export shipments of the town. We loaded 83 consolidated containers on a single voyage, this unique feat is still unbeaten in any Indian Port. We later opened a port office in Mumbai and other branch offices in other export towns of North India like Moradabad & Jalandhar. In 1984 the company Head office was moved to New Delhi. In 2010 the company was re branded in the name & style of “YAM Logistics Pvt. Ltd.” The company which will celebrate its Golden Jubilee in 2018 is now headed by the second generation of the family, who is an MBA with experience of over 17 years in International Trade. Over the last 5 decades the company has served the leading names of the Indian business including JK Group, Dabur Ltd., Good Year, North West Switch Gear, Liberty Shoes, Mirza Tannery, CONCOR amongst others. Having got its own CHA license in 1992 the company today offers end to end services in the International logistics business. Including but not limited to Customs Clearance, Air / Sea Freight Forwarding & Warehousing. We are one of the few companies in India which specialize in handling ReExport projects.
