Yanmar started producing GHP (Gas-engine Heat Pump) air conditioning systems in 1987 in response to market needs for heating and cooling systems that reduce electricity consumption, improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. In response to rapid changes in the energy systems business YANMAR ENERGY SYSTEM CO., LTD. was established in 2003 to integrate the work of the Energy System Division and its sales departments in the various companies in the group. Overseeing everything from product development and manufacturing to sales and maintenance, YANMAR ENERGY SYSTEM CO., LTD. is responsible for the operation and expansion of the energy systems business for the Yanmar Group.
