YARAorg Overview

YARA is an acronym which stands for the Youth Association for Reality and Awareness, and was officially registered as a not-for-profit organization in Jordan in 2010. We aim at making tangible changes in local communities through awareness campaigns in areas that are usually untapped, overlooked, or undiscovered. Our campaigns focus on the youth (aged 12-34 years young) and are conducted via two medium: field projects and awareness videos. Over the years, YARA has conducted dozens of campaigns on various matters: from securing education for out of school children, preserving the environment, empowering both youth and women, and holding inter-religious dialogues. YARA tackles social issues with fresh thinking to produce solutions that are innovative, scalable, and collaborative. Our goal is to engage citizens in creating a world where everyone has the chance to live up to his or her potential. We aim at being virtually present in every country of the world, so that global citizens can contribute to their local community.
