Youth Association in Sierra Leone

Generally, as we are national representative of Young People of the Republic of Sierra Leone, workin on Sustainable Development Activities and engage in activities that promote the United Nations (UN). We as an association established in Sierra Leone. Our Membership consist of individuals from all sectors servings in various capacity which are under a supreme organ of the association called the Plenary Assembly; However, this association caters for all sectors and as such these sectors are further considered under the various types of membership. We encourage you to become a member of this association. OBJECTIVE Objectives The objectives of Youth Association of Sierra Leone (YASIL) are: a. To serve as a Sierra Leone youth movement for a stronger, Supportive and more effective United Nations; b. To serve as a dependent Organization to Association of Sierra Leone(ASIL). c. To strive for respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, the responsibilities and duties accompanying those rights for youths in Sierra Leone and the world; d. To co-ordinate and foster the youth activities of members, and promote and expand the work the United Nations and Sustainable Development nationwide through Regional and District Chapters; e. To promote tolerance, understanding, solidarity and co-operation among Youths and Children throughout Sierra Leone without distinction as to ethnicity, gender, religion or political orientation; f. To stimulate and maintain student’s interest in International Affairs and foster friendship among the youths of all countries; g. To actively participate in National and International youths activities in promoting the health of young people. h. To contribute to the removal of barriers of peace, to work for Justice, security and disarmament, and to promote the development of peaceful co-existence and co-operation among youth of Sierra Leone and the nations of the world; i.
